Keasy has developed and adopted policies and practices to protect information collected. All information Keasy collects is confidential and is never sold or shared with any other business other than to help Keasy with the services it provides. Personal information collected from buyers and sellers

The following information is collected from buyers and sellers of real estate who use Keasy’s website.

  • Contact information: Keasy collects contact information including name, email address, phone number and mailing address.
  • Personal identifiers: Keasy does not collect your personal identifiers such as social insurance number and government issued identification(s). You understand that the real estate professional may be required to ask for such information before, during or after a transaction to purchase or sell real estate is completed and that providing such information may be a regulatory requirement.
  • Commercial information: Keasy collects certain information regarding the real estate you wish to purchase or sell, including location, property type, price range and other related information.
  • Banking information: Keasy does not collect banking information from you.
  • Other information: You may provide Keasy with additional information to help improve the Keasy Services provided.

Personal information collected from real estate professionals

The following information is collected from real estate brokers and salespeople and other real estate professionals that may be involved in furthering the trade of real property and who use Keasy’s website.

  • Contact information: Keasy collects contact information including name, email address, phone number, mailing address and employing brokerage name/contact.
  • Personal identifiers: Keasy may collect personal identifiers such as your real estate license number or government issued identification(s).
  • Commercial information: Keasy collects certain information regarding your professional real estate experience including but not limited to (i) how long you have been a real estate professional, (ii) the number and specific details of real estate transactions you have been involved in, (iii) information on your preferences and other information such as personal questions used to assist in matching you with potential buyers and sellers, (iv) testimonials and endorsements from previous clients and (v) the services you offer to potential clients and practices you adhere to as a real estate professional.
  • Banking information: Keasy does not collect banking information from you.
  • Other information: Real estate professionals may provide Keasy with additional information to help improve the Keasy Services provided to potential buyers and sellers.

How personal information is collected

Keasy collects information directly from users when they interact with our website and fill out information on our platform. Information may also be collected via other means including interactions over email, phone call or mail and other public records and through automated technologies and online browser tools, including cookies.

How personal information is used

Users that provide personal information permit Keasy to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Keasy may use the information collected for the following purposes.

  • Keasy Services: Information collected is used to assist Keasy in best matching buyers and sellers with real estate professionals based on their specific requirements and preferences.
  • Administrative communications: Keasy may use personal information to send important information regarding Keasy Services, including changes to its Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy, other policies and/or other administrative information.
  • Marketing communications: Keasy may promote certain services or offerings to you based on your preferences, interests and past transactions. Users may opt out from receiving these communications. We may display personal testimonials and other endorsements on www.keasy.ca. By submitting testimonials or endorsements, you grant Keasy the right to post and publish such testimonials and endorsements, along with your name.
  • Research and internal purposes: Keasy may use your information to conduct research, data analysis, audits, developing new products and services, and monitoring or improving Keasy Services.

  • Real estate professionals: Keasy may share buyer and seller contact information to select agents that Keasy determines would be best suited to assist the buyer or seller in their real estate transaction. Agents use such information to connect with buyers and sellers.
  • Third-party service providers: Keasy may share personal information with third-party service providers who assist Keasy on various matters, including advertising, customer service, payment processing, data analysis, referrals for services to assist buyers and sellers, etc. Keasy only provides those service providers with the information necessary to perform their functions. Each third party is required to protect and secure the information it receives from Keasy.
  • Affiliated entities: Keasy shares its information with subsidiaries or affiliates who use personal information consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • Limited collection: Keasy only collects information it needs to perform Keasy Services.
  • Limited distribution: Information is not provided to employees, real estate professionals and third parties unless they need it to perform their function. Information shared is limited to only the information needed.
  • Limited storage: Personal information is not kept longer than it is needed.
  • Vulnerability testing: Keasy performs annual vulnerability testing on its information technology systems and documents the outcomes. Keasy regularly monitors its information technology systems and processes to identify weaknesses. Vulnerabilities identified are addressed in a timely manner and documented.
  • Organizational controls and training: Staff are trained on Keasy privacy policies and practices and are assessed partially based on their adherence to these standards.
